There was a stall raising funds for an MS group in the local supermarket today, so I told the person manning the stall about IBT and your work with MS. He hadn't heard of it, but was pleased to.

Head elevation, we theorized, would improve the brain circulation by providing some gravity assistance to drainage. Interestingly, we found that Space Medicine researchers discovered that brain circulation (and heart pumping) is optimal at a 30-degree head of bed elevation."

Yes I know of Syd and his work. We have discussed IBT at length over the phone and he still adheres to the sitting posture rather than the full incline.

Sounds like he doesn't quite believe or understand Andrews theory actually. What he advocates is like using a high pillow...which even I did in the past anyway. Personally I think there is a risk of all of us underestimating the lymph system and cerebrospinal fluid circulation....the blood has a pump..so even sleeping flat means we don't die outright, struggling as the heart does to keep us alive. But the lymph and CSF grind almost to a halt lying flat, and this is the main cause of toxic build up. If you also consider how fast blood circulation is ..compared to how slow the others are, you may agree with my point. I.e the net effect of gravity is greater in the lymph and CSF compared to in the blood. Also the head is above the heart so I imagine once the blood is assisted going towards the feet, then the heart has more umph to cater for the head. In the end
I doubt we understand completely where all the benefits come from..as gravity affects electromagnetic properties as well as orgone, life force.

Interesting....! I guess I should be happy an MD mentioning IBT.....although I have to add if it's buried in ...eating more fibre, or reducing meat and diary...we might miss what it really is...but yes good! He would do well also to study later research after Burkitt was shown to have misregarded the fact that developing countries squatted to evacuate their bowels....which might be more significant than a few more grams of fibre a day!
