Why 6 inch elevation?

Isn't it interesting that the Russians found returning cosmonauts found minus 6 degrees..I,e. Head down, the most comfortable position to lie down....it mimics weightlessness well.

That is indeed of interest, where did you find this fact? I experiment with most everything I do, and its one of the reasons I tried out 6.11 degrees instead of the 5 degrees recommended - with not so good results as you know in my last post in this thread - but who knows, maybe after a while of IBT raising degrees may become even more healing...I would definitely not recommend any newcomer to IBT (like myself lol) though to try more than 5 degrees, just in case they get a negative result and associate that with IBT.

It's research by DrJoan Vernikos that I followed up from Andrews sitting article. It might be mentioned on the video in this site...but on follow up found that Vernikos had imported the technique from the Russians. Interesting that it never occurred to them to try positive 6 degrees....it was for returning cosmonauts trying to adjust back to earth.

She said around 4mins30secs that they would faint standing up, and this fainting on standing up means their bodies adjusted to the lack of gravity in space - after all the body is a self regulating animal - meaning on coming back they felt better at -6 degrees because that is optimum level to saturate their brains with blood, and thus stop them fainting, at least until their bodies adjust back to earth gravity, to which point they would then need to adjust again to +5 or 6 degrees to get optimal blood flow for earth gravity.

Nice pillow case Andrew!! You know I was following some old posts of yours on other forums and was amazed at how vicious the subscribers were regarding IBT and skepticism towards it...insisting that you were a snake oil salesman. They reduced the topic to whether you wanted to sell them something....which in my opinion totally misses the point. So what if you did sell something....you deserve to be rich from what you discovered. It's not like selling anything is a problem...especially in this day of capitalism rules. Emotional plague was what they had.

But what about those astronauts who got out of their capsule and walked unaided having travelled to the moon and back? Perhaps they didn't know about the deteriorating effects of being away from the Earth's gravitational field?
